Welcome to CBIA
The Connecticut Business & Industry Association (CBIA) is a professional service organization, recognized as the most effective advocate for business in the state. We work at the state Capitol on behalf of our 10,000 members, and they rely on our products, services and information to grow and compete in a global economy.
Who belongs to CBIA?
Our membership includes companies with a single employee as well as those with several thousand. Some are headquartered in Connecticut; others are based elsewhere, with operations in our state.
All types of businesses are represented: manufacturing, professional and financial services, insurance, technology, real estate, retail, wholesale, transportation, and construction, to name a few, and they are found in every corner and every county across Connecticut.
Why should I join?
Membership gives businesses such as yours strength in numbers at the State Capitol. It also saves you money, time and resources on the services and products your business needs.
If you do business in Connecticut, you should be a member of CBIA.

What does CBIA do?
Advocacy
CBIA is the leading voice of business and industry at the State Capitol and before state administrative agencies. We advocate for your concerns, working to defeat proposals that would negatively impact your business and championing legislation that supports your growth.
Member Benefits
CBIA's portfolio of products and services includes employee insurance (medical, dental, eyewear, life, AD&D, short- and long-term disability, and other programs), retirement plans, home and auto insurance, and member discounts on the products and services that keep your business running. We also provide workforce training, the information you need to comply with state and federal regulations, and the business intelligence you need to stay competitive.
