State per capita personal income in comparison to State per capita disposable income

Based on the information provided in the graphs above, Connecticut is the state that has the highest per capita personal income and per capita disposable income. What does this mean? Although Connecticut has the highest income, it also has the greatest purchasing power, which means that the average Connecticut consumer has the capacity to spend a lot more than the average U.S. consumer.
