CBIA Management Institute has developed a series of courses aimed at preparing your company's managers and human resource professionals for greater responsibilities.

  • Friday, Jan. 18, 2008 – Financial Management
    Learn about financial theory as the foundation for making good managerial decisions. Particular emphasis will be placed on the monetary valuation of current and future assets and strategic and tactical issues pertaining to cash flow.   • Friday, Feb. 8, 2008 – Communication
    Learn how to generate support for your action agenda without alienating others within the organization. Master the ability to plug into other individuals' styles and interests. Examine the differences between one-on-one persuasion and public discourse. Instructor: Deanne Shapiro, Center for Professional Development, University of Hartford
  • Thursday, March 20, and Friday, April 11, 2008 – Marketing Strategies
    Learn how to analyze the needs of the market and what will motivate your customers to make a buying decision. On March 20, you'll learn quantitative tools and techniques that analyze competitors, anticipate their actions and support your marketing decisions. The April 11 session will cover the qualitative tools and techniques that a company might use to develop marketing strategies.   • Friday, May 9, 2008 – Strategic Decision Making
    Explore methods and creative techniques that can facilitate objective and effective decision making. Participants will learn how to gather information, determine when there are sufficient resources and information to support a decision, gauge risks and uncertainties, and gain an understanding of analytical methods that can be used in decision making. Instructor: Jim Jackson, Essex Group

It’s important for you, as an HR professional, to know that CBIA Management Institute’s series of courses has been approved for strategic credits by the Human Resources Certification Institute (HRCI) for recertification for the designation of Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR).
