Welcome to CBIA's Research Department

The research department provides information and analysis of issues for use by the legal staff, by other departments and by our members. They also analyze the future of the state economy and emerging issues that the state will face in the near future. In addition, they conduct the annual membership survey, the customer satisfactions survey, the quarterly economic surveys, as well as other special interest surveys. The research department is also responsible for the association's library and subscription budget.

Prospect Machine Products is a contract manufacturer of deep draw metal stamping serving the automotive, appliance controls, and medical device industries. Since its founding in 1950, Prospect Machine Products has participated in local community governance and educational issues. Connecticut Businesses Say Credit Conditions Still Bad But Hopeful For Future Improvement — CBIA/TD Bank Credit Survey Reports

Despite the economy slowly emerging from one of the worst economic downturns since the Great Depression, Connecticut businesses say current credit conditions are still bad; but they are hopeful, however, that conditions will improve in 2010. The results from the fourth-quarter 2009 CBIA/TD Bank Survey show current credit conditions in Connecticut with the weakest readings since the survey first began in early 2004.
