School Improvement Preparing Students for Careers Education in the Workplace Employer Involvement

School-to-Career

News, ideas, model practices, programs and resources for educators, students, parents and employers, helping to build the workforce of the future.

For more than 20 years, the CBIA Education Foundation has been active in Connecticut's public schools, building and promoting programs that take learning well beyond the four walls of the classroom.

CBIA has created this Web site to help employers, schools and educators work with the local community to establish effective programs to prepare students - tomorrow's leaders - for careers.

Many schools and educational organizations have ongoing relationships with businesses, business associations and their communities. But some schools don't know where or how to get started in involving businesses in their school-to-career programs. The same is true for the business community. Many of our members would like to become more involved with schools to help prepare tomorrow's workers. Drawing on our exclusive roster of 10,000 corporate members and our relationships with public and private schools and educational organizations, we will help you implement various activities based on the scope of your interests and needs. We're here to help.
