DEP's industrial stormwater general permit expired on October 1, 2007 and was renewed "as-is" for one year with the intention of issuing a modified/revised permit on October 1, 2008. DEP is seeking comments on an initial draft general permit they have recently completed. DEP has asked that we not broadly distribute the document but if you are a CBIA/EPC member and have an interest in reviewing the draft, please forward an email to browne@cbia.com and we will forward it to you.
Also, DEP will be holding an informational meeting at DEP Headquarters on Thursday, May 29 at 2:00 in the Phoenix Auditorium (5th floor, 79 Elm Street , Hartford ). DEP is interested in receiving comments/recommendations/discussion at the meeting.
DEP anticipates going to public notice in June and holding a formal public hearing in July.
