More worker training funds gain approval
(March 14, 2008) One of the best ways to improve the workforce in Connecticut is to help current workers upgrade and sharpen their skills.
To help accomplish that, the Commerce Committee this week approved a proposal that would increase funding for incumbent worker training by $5 million.
HB-5584 could be part of the solution to make sure that Connecticut’s workforce has the skills and training businesses need to remain competitive – one of the most serious challenges facing the state’s business community.
