Your chance to talk about health care

(Sept. 8, 2008) Businesses can soon talk about health care directly to a group that’s about to make recommendations to the General Assembly on how to reform health care in Connecticut.

A series of public hearings being held across the state will be the best opportunity to help the HealthFirst CT Authority understand the struggles employers are facing in trying to provide quality, affordable health care for their employees.

The group is looking at options ranging from strengthening the current employer-based model to scrapping it and moving toward a government-managed system.

CBIA strongly encourages business leaders to attend and testify at one or more of these hearings. It is very important for businesses to voice their opinion on health care reform and the need to control costs — so that more people can have access to quality care.

For more information about the meetings and how to testify, contact CBIA’s Eric George at 860-244-1921 or eric.george@cbia.com.
