State leaders to discuss climate change policy issues

 

(Oct. 16, 2007) Connecticut Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) Commissioner Gina McCarthy and Department of Public Utility Control (DPUC) Commissioner Anne George will participate in a panel discussion on the challenges of addressing climate change at the fall meeting of CBIA’s Environmental Policies Council (EPC) on Friday, Oct. 26 in Middlefield. 


The discussion panel will take place during a morning program: “Climate Change: From Science to Policy” – part of the EPC’s Annual Fall Meeting and Outing, this year taking place at Lyman Orchards. 


Other panelists include the state legislature’s Environment Committee House Chair Rep. Richard F. Roy (D-Milford), and the committee’s House Ranking Member, Rep. Clark J. Chapin (R-New Milford).


In addition, the conference will feature speakers Dr. Robert O. Mendelsohn, School of Forestry & Environmental Studies, Yale University; and Dr. Anji Seth College of Liberal Arts and Sciences, University of Connecticut.
