Workers’ comp commissioner
reappointments

(Dec. 12, 2007) Several state Workers’ Compensation commissioners have been approved by the legislature’s Judiciary Committee and will seek confirmation by the General Assembly when it reconvenes in February to continue their work on the commission.

Michelle Truglia is a former assistant Connecticut attorney general who represented the state in the Second Injury Fund in a variety of workers’ compensation matters.

Randy Cohen is a member of the workers’ compensation sections of both the Connecticut Trial Lawyers Association and the Connecticut Bar Association.

Jodi Gregg has been in private practice in Stamford since 2003. Most recently she was program director for a nonprofit organization in Stamford.

Whenn the General Assembly reconvenes in February, lawmakers are expected to act on these nominations.

The commission administers the state’s workers’ compensation laws with the ultimate goal of ensuring that workers injured on the job receive prompt payment of lost work time benefits and attendant medical expenses.
