EEO-1 revisedBeginning in 2007, private employers with 100 or more employees and most government contractors will collect data about the racial, ethnic, and gender composition of their workforces and report it on a revised EEO-1 report form. The existing Standard Form 100, Employer Information Report EEO-1, calls for workforce data to be broken down by nine job categories, using five race and ethnic categories. The revised EEO-1 report adds a new race/ethnic category titled “two or more races,” and divides the category “Asian or Pacific Islander” into two separate categories, “Asian” and “Native Hawaiian or other Pacific Islanders.” The revised form also increases the number of job categories, dividing the “Officials and Managers” job category into two levels —Executive/Senior Level and First/Mid-Level Officials—based on responsibility and influence within the organization. The new form must be used beginning with the EEO-1 report that is due by Sept. 30, 2007. See the revised report for more information.
