CBIA Re-opens Popular Guarantee Issue Supplemental Life Offer

Here's a second chance to offer your clients supplemental life insurance with no EOI.

Currently, CBIA and Hartford Life allow groups one opportunity at their initial enrollment to add guarantee issue, supplemental life insurance for their employees. Because of your enthusiasm and the popularity of this program, we've decided to offer employers and employees another opportunity to join the program through a special open enrollment.
For your clients that don’t currently offer the program, employees may choose $10,000, $25,000, $50,000, $75,000 or $100,000* without evidence of insurability (EOI). For groups already enrolled in our supplemental life program, this is a one-time opportunity to offer non-participating employees a chance to enroll for a flat $10,000 without EOI.
Employers will be introduced to this program 45 days prior to their renewal, beginning with May renewals. See sample communications here:

NOTE: Pre-filled forms are only available 60 days prior to and 30 days after a group's renewal date.
For groups that currently offer supplemental life, we are requiring use of a pre-filled enrollment form. This is due to the complexity of age determination which is based on rate guarantee and group effective date. This will ensure that employers deduct the correct premium from employees' payroll for the supplemental life program.
