THIRTEEN EXECUTIVES ELECTED TO CBIA BOARD OF DIRECTORS

 

Thirteen business executives were elected to four-year terms on the board of directors of the Connecticut Business & Industry Association (CBIA) at the association's Oct. 24 Annual Meeting in Cromwell.

CBIA is the state's largest business organization, with 1 0,000 member companies throughout Connecticut . The board of directors approves the organization's plans, policies and strategies, and particularly focuses on ways to make Connecticut more competitive as a business location.

"I am pleased to welcome these outstanding business leaders to the CBIA board of directors,” said John R. Rathgeber, CBIA president and CEO. “I look forward to working with them to develop policies that will continue to improve the state's business climate and help our members compete, grow and create more good jobs here.”

The new members of the CBIA board of directors are:

  •   Jonathan R. Bennett, executive vice president, personal and small business insurance, Hartford Financial Services Group Inc., Hartford

  •   Ramona Carlow, president-Connecticut, AT&T Inc., New Haven

  •   Barry J. Cregan, senior vice president of resort operations, Foxwoods Resort Casino, Mashantucket

  •   S. Douglas Devnew, vice president of finance and administration, Trumpf Inc., Farmington

  •   Bruce E. Dworak, president, Hobson & Motzer Inc., Durham

  •   Charles D. Harvell, managing partner, Ernst & Young LLP, Hartford

  •   Michael (Mickey) E. Herbert, president and CEO, ConnectiCare Inc., Farmington

  •   David W. Keiser, president and COO, Alexion Pharmaceuticals Inc., Cheshire

  •   Leighton Lee III, chairman and president, The Lee Co., Westbrook

  •   Kathleen K. Lundquist, Ph.D., president, APT Inc., Darien
