CBIA ATTORNEY AND WEST HARTFORD RESIDENT APPOINTED
TO THE CONNECTICUT CLEAN ENERGY FUND BOARD
Connecticut Senate Minority Leader John McKinney recently appointed Kevin Hennessy to the board of directors of the Connecticut Clean Energy Fund (CCEF). The CCEF promotes, develops and invests in clean energy sources for sustainable energy for the benefit of Connecticut ratepayers.
Hennessy is a staff attorney and member of the Connecticut Business & Industry Association's (CBIA) government affairs team, and represents the state business community's views before the state legislature and administrative agencies, including the Connecticut Department of Public Utility Control. His areas of expertise include energy and technology, business law and liability, as well as corporate governance.
In addition to serving on the CCEF board, Hennessy serves on the Energy Conservation Management Board (ECMB) and is on the board of directors of the Connecticut Power & Energy Society (CPES). He also participates on the Connecticut Energy Advisory Board (CEAB) as the staff person representing John Rathgeber, CBIA president and CEO.
Prior to joining CBIA, Hennessy worked at several Connecticut and New York area law firms. He earned his J.D. from Western New England College School of Law in Springfield, Massachusetts, and a B.A. in political science from Holy Cross in Worcester, Massachusetts.
Hennessy is a member of the American Bar Association, the Connecticut Bar Association and the Hartford County Bar Association.
He lives in West Hartford with his wife, Elizabeth.
