CBIA CONFERENCE TEACHES FAMILY BUSINESSES HOW TO
CONTROL RISING ENERGY COSTS

Connecticut 's energy prices are at record-high levels, and controlling rising costs is critical to everyone. The Connecticut Business & Industry Association is hosting a conference to help family businesses manage those costs.

Wednesday, August 6, 2008
8:30 – 11:30 a.m.
Holiday Inn
North Haven, Conn.

CBIA has assembled a panel of industry experts to help family-run businesses understand the changes in the energy market as well as programs to help them reduce consumption and control costs.

The seminar will focus on how to evaluate market trends and explore energy-saving options — including conservation, alternative energy sources and green business practices — so that businesspeople can make informed choices.

The conference will also explore:

  • Energy audits for family businesses

  • Alternative energy technologies

  • Return on sustainable energy investments

  • Environmental trends

The conference is sponsored by the United Illuminating Co. and is free for CBIA and UConn Family Business Program members. All others are $99.

CBIA is Connecticut 's largest business organization, with more than 10,000 members.
