Hundreds of business leaders from across the state will gather for the Connecticut Business & Industry Association’s 194th meeting and reception on Oct. 28 at the Hartford Marriott Downtown.

At 5 p.m. Governor M. Jodi Rell will address attendees and discuss the state of our economy and her administration’s commitment to economic growth.

At 5:30 p.m. Murray Martin, chairman, president and CEO of Pitney Bowes Inc., amulti-billion global leader of integrated mail and document management solutions headquartered in Stamford, will speak about challenges in today’s global marketplace. He will address specific issues facing technology companies and their ability to remain competitive while operating in Connecticut.

A cocktail reception will follow at 6 p.m.
