Companies showcase products ‘Made in Connecticut’

With more than 4,900 manufacturing companies employing nearly 186,000 workers, Connecticut manufacturers are a vital part of the state’s economy.

Legislators and public officials will have the opportunity to visit with nearly 40 manufacturers from across Connecticut who are showcasing their products and manufacturing technologies at the Connecticut Business & Industry Association’s Manufacturing & Technology Day on May 13.

The Regional Center for Next Generation Manufacturing and the CBIA Education Foundation, which provide resources to educators and students to help them meet the challenges of advanced manufacturing, will also have booths at Manufacturing & Technology Day. The center is directed by the Connecticut College of Technology, a virtual organization representing technology curriculum geared toward engineering and technician training offered at Connecticut’s 12 community colleges.
