Eric J. George is associate counsel for the Connecticut Business & Industry Association (CBIA), the state’s largest business organization with over 10,000 members. CBIA works to promote a healthy business climate, which encourages economic growth and job creation in the state.

George specializes in health care policy and represents business views on health care issues before the state legislature and administrative agencies.

Before joining CBIA, George worked in private practice, focusing on corporate transactions and municipal finance. Prior to his work in private practice, George worked in the Connecticut General Assembly in the areas of policy and research.

George is a member of the Connecticut Bar Association and a former member of the Connecticut Bar Association’s House of Delegates. He is also a member of the American Hellenic Education Progressive Association.

George received his Juris Doctor from the University of Connecticut School of Law, and his bachelor’s degree, magna cum laude, in English literature from the University of Connecticut.

He lives in Glastonbury with his wife and two children.
