KEY CONNECTICUT OFFICIALS
TO DISCUSS POWER MARKET CHANGES

     Leaders of Connecticut’s two electric utilities will share their views on recent changes in the energy market will impact Connecticut ratepayers at the Connecticut Business & Industry Association Energy Forum scheduled for Wednesday, June 25, 8 a.m.-noon at the Rocky Hill Marriott.

     Michael Morris, president and CEO, Northeast Utilities, and Anthony J. Vallillo, president and COO, the United Illuminating Company, will participate in a panel discussion on issues such as locational marginal pricing, changes in the standard offer, default service and congestion costs.

     There will be a second panel discussion on ways businesses can save money on energy. That panel will include Whit Allen, vice president, Sure Power; Jim Bell, director, products and services, CBIA; Eric Bartone, president, NEXTGEN Northeast; and Robert Cables, vice president and operating manager, Energy East Solutions, Southern Affiliate.

     Admission to the conference, which includes a continental breakfast, is $129 per person, $99 for CBIA members.
