HABCO CEO AND OWNER ELECTED TO CBIA BOARD OF DIRECTORS
Muschett is CEO and owner of Habco Inc., in Glastonbury, a world-class designer of custom test equipment and tooling for aerospace and general industry. She is one of 16 new members elected to the CBIA board who will begin their terms Dec. 1. CBIA is the state’s largest business organization, with 10,000 member companies throughout Connecticut. The board of directors approves the organization’s plans, policies and strategies, and particularly focuses on ways to make Connecticut a better place to do business and create jobs. As CEO and also an active salesperson, Muschett has led the company to a 100% increase in sales since 1999. Prior to that, she held positions of chief financial officer and vice president of sales for the company. She is a member of the Aerospace Component Manufacturers' trade association, and was recently named to be a board member of the Glastonbury Foundation, a nonprofit group to benefit Glastonbury schools. She is also an executive member of the U.S. Fuel Cell Council, a Washington, D.C.-based organization formed to promote research and commercialization of fuel cell technologies in the U.S. Muschett received her B.A. degree in journalism/mass communications from the University of Hartford in 1985. She has taken several graduate-level courses and seminars on a variety of topics, including accounting and lean manufacturing. She lives in South Glastonbury.
