VICE PRESIDENT AND COO OF THE NEW YORK FEDERAL RESERVE IS KEYNOTE SPEAKER AT CBIA ECONOMIC CONFERENCE
The Fairfield County Economy: The Decade Ahead


The Connecticut Business & Industry Association (CBIA) today announced that the first vice president and COO of the Federal Reserve Bank of New York, Christine Cumming, will give the keynote luncheon speech at the Dec. 2, 2004, economic conference, “The Fairfield County Economy: The Decade Ahead,” at the Westin Hotel in Stamford.

Cumming is the second-highest ranking officer at the Federal Reserve Bank of New York, as well as an alternate-voting member of the Federal Open Market Committee.

In addition to Cumming’s keynote address, top business leaders and economic experts will forecast Fairfield County’s economy 10 years into the future. Breakout sessions will include:

  • the outlook for the finance, insurance and real estate industries

  • transportation issues: I-95 corridor

  • international business issues and

  • the importance of the health care industry to the region

"The Fairfield County Economy: The Decade Ahead” is presented by CBIA, in partnership with the Stamford, Greenwich and Greater Norwalk Chambers of Commerce; the Bridgeport Regional Business Council; The University of Connecticut CIBER; the Fairfield County Business Journal; and the Westchester County Business Journal.

CBIA is Connecticut’s largest business organization, with 10,000 members.
