CBIA PROGRAM HELPS RECRUIT YOUNG WOMEN IN HIGH-DEMAND TECHNOLOGY CAREERS Women in Technology Workshop The Connecticut Business & Industry Association (CBIA), in collaboration with the Connecticut Community College System’s College of Technology (COT), is offering a two-day workshop for math, science and technology high school and college educators interested in recruiting and retaining young women in nontraditional technology careers. Donna Milgram, executive director of the national Institute for Women in Trades, Technology and Science, is the keynote speaker. A national spokesperson on the subject of gender equity, Milgram has testified before Congress on gender equity in the U.S. Department of Labor and took a leadership role in Cisco’s Gender Initiative, which is designed to increase the number of women in Cisco Networking academy programs.
