CAPEWELL COMPONENTS PRESIDENT AND CEO ELECTED TO CBIA BOARD OF DIRECTORS

 

The Connecticut Business & Industry Association (CBIA) elected Kenneth W. MacCormac to a four-year term on its board of directors at its Oct. 26 Annual Meeting.

MacCormac is president and CEO of Capewell Components Co. LLC, a diversified manufacturing company with facilities in South Windsor and Cromwell. He is one of 13 new members elected to the CBIA board who will begin their terms Dec. 1.

CBIA is the state’s largest business organization, with 10,000 member companies throughout Connecticut . The board of directors approves the organization’s plans, policies and strategies, and particularly focuses on ways to make Connecticut a better place to do business and create jobs.

Prior to joining Capewell in 1982, MacCormac was executive vice president of Highway Safety and Fabrication Corp., in Glastonbury.

MacCormac serves on several business and nonprofit boards, including as chairman of the board of Ripley Europe. He is on the board of directors at the Middlesex Chamber of Commerce, the New England Cognitive Center and Vertigo Inc. He is on the board of managers at Capewell Components Co., and the board of advisers at Virginia Industries Inc.

He has a B.A. from Harvard College and an M.B.A. from the University of Virginia Darden School.

He lives in West Hartford with his wife, Mary, and has three grown children.
