PSEG POWER CONNECTICUT EXECUTIVE ELECTED TO CBIA BOARD OF DIRECTORS
The Connecticut Business & Industry Association (CBIA) elected Robert T. Parnell to a four-year term on its board of directors at its Oct. 26 Annual Meeting. Parnell is director of asset operations at PSEG Power Connecticut LLC, in Bridgeport. He is one of 13 new members elected to the CBIA board who will begin their terms Dec. 1. CBIA is the state’s largest business organization, with 10,000 member companies throughout Connecticut. The board of directors approves the organization’s plans, policies and strategies, and particularly focuses on ways to make Connecticut a better place to do business and create jobs. Parnell has more than two decades of experience in the power generation business. He has held numerous positions at both regulated and non-regulated generation businesses, including General Electric, New England Power, Westinghouse Electric, Community Energy Alternatives and Wisconsin Energy. He is on the board of directors of the South End Community Center and ARTSport, both in Bridgeport. He is on the board of managers at the Bridgeport YMCA, and is a member of the board of associates at Bridgeport Hospital. Parnell is also a member of the Regional Leadership Council of the Greater New Haven Chamber of Commerce. He lives in Guilford with his wife and two children.
