SANTA ENERGY PRESIDENT AND CEO ELECTED TO CBIA BOARD OF DIRECTORS

The Connecticut Business & Industry Association (CBIA) elected Thomas S. Santa to a four-year term on its board of directors at its Oct. 26 Annual Meeting.

Santa is president and CEO of Santa Energy, in Bridgeport. He is one of 13 new members elected to the CBIA board who will begin their terms Dec. 1.

CBIA is the state’s largest business organization, with 10,000 member companies throughout Connecticut. The board of directors approves the organization’s plans, policies and strategies, and particularly focuses on ways to make Connecticut a better place to do business and create jobs.
Santa is a board member and a past president of the Independent Connecticut Petroleum Association. He also serves on the boards of the National Oil Heat Research Alliance, and the Connecticut Petroleum Storage Tank Review Board, and is chairman of Junior Achievement of Western Connecticut.

He earned his B.S. in engineering from Syracuse University and an M.B.A. from the University of Bridgeport. He is a Connecticut-licensed professional engineer.

Santa lives in Redding. He is married and has four children.
