MEREDITH B. REUBEN BIOGRAPHY

Reuben joined Eastern Bag & Paper Group in 1979 and was named CEO in 1990. The company was founded in 1918 by Reuben’s grandfather, Samuel Baum. Today, the company is one of the largest paper distributors in the Northeast, serving the retail, health care, industrial, janitorial and food service industries. The company, which employs 300 people, has distribution centers in Milford, Conn; Tewksbury, Mass., and Cranbury, N.J.

Reuben has served on the CBIA Board of Directors since 2001, and is chair of the board of Network Services’ Long Range Planning Committee and past chair of their Operations Technology Committee. She is the vice chair of the Bridgeport Hospital Board of Directors and is a past board member of the Greater Bridgeport Area Foundation, Network Services, the Greater New Haven Chamber of Commerce, and the Governor’s Task Force on Ethics.

She received her bachelor of arts degree from Tufts University and her law degree from Boston University. She lives in Stamford with her husband and three children
