REFLEXITE PRESIDENT & CEO ELECTED TO CBIA BOARD OF DIRECTORS
Foley is president and CEO of Reflexite Corp., in Avon. He is one of 14 new members elected to the CBIA board, who will begin their terms Dec. 1. CBIA is the state’s largest business organization, with 10,000 member companies throughout Connecticut. The board of directors approves the organization’s plans, policies and strategies, and particularly focuses on ways to make Connecticut a better place to do business and create jobs. Prior to becoming CEO, he was president and COO of the company. Foley joined Reflexite in 1977, as president of its Fresnel Optics (now Reflexite Display Optics) subsidiaries with global responsibility for the consolidated Fresnel businesses. Foley is a member of the Reflexite Board of Directors and the ESOP Administration Committee. He is also chairman of the board for Reflexite’s Reflective Products Business and Reflexite Display Optics. His past work experience includes engineering, operations and general management positions with Life Sciences International, Bausch and Lomb Contact Lens Division and Draper Labs. Foley has a B.S. in mechanical engineering, an M.S. in mechanical engineering and a Ph.D. in polymer processing from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). He also completed a minor in business from the Sloan School of Management while at MIT.
