TRANE-CONNECTICUT EXECUTIVE ELECTED TO CBIA BOARD OF DIRECTORS
The Connecticut Business & Industry Association (CBIA) elected William H. Harris III to a four-year term on its board of directors at its Oct. 25 Annual Meeting. Harris is district leader for Trane-Connecticut in Farmington. He is one of 14 new members elected to the CBIA board, who will begin their terms Dec. 1. CBIA is the state’s largest business organization, with 10,000 member companies throughout Connecticut. The board of directors approves the organization’s plans, policies and strategies, and particularly focuses on ways to make Connecticut a better place to do business and create jobs. Harris has spent nearly two decades working in the HVAC and building automation systems industry. Prior to joining Trane-Connecticut as district leader in 2005, he was service solutions leader for Trane’s Northeast territory. He also worked at Tozour Trane in Philadephia, Alerton Technologies in New York City and Johnson Control Inc., where he began his career.
