CBIA - BUSINESS MEETS POLITICS
General
Assembly candidates visit Connecticut businesses to meet with employers
and employees
More than 100 state Senate and House candidates will participate in the
Connecticut Business & Industry Association’s (CBIA’s) “Business Meets
Politics” events, October 2-13, 2006.
The candidates will visit more than 60 businesses across the state and
participate in numerous events hosted by CBIA and their member companies.
“Legislators elected to the 2007 General Assembly will deal with many
critical issues, including job growth, health care, taxes, transportation,
energy and workforce issues, all of which affect the health and vitality
of Connecticut's economy and the quality of life for the people of the
state,” said John R. Rathgeber, CBIA president and CEO. “These visits will
give employees the opportunity to meet legislative candidates during the
work day and in Connecticut’s workplaces. That will allow working people
to get directly involved in the election process and learn about the
candidates’ positions on issues that are important to employees, their
companies and the state’s economy.”
The following is a list of scheduled “Business Meets Politics” events
