If you are not currently registered to vote, you have several options:

Connecticut also offers Election Day Registration. If you miss the deadline for registering for an election, you can register and vote in person at your town’s Election Day Registration location (but not at your polling place).

You are not a registered voter until your application is approved by your local registrar of voters.

You should receive a confirmation within three weeks of filing an application. If you do not, contact your local registrar.

Voter Registration Deadlines

For primary elections, applications must be postmarked by the fifth day before a primary (or received by your registrar of voters or a voter registration agency by the fifth day before a primary). The last day an enrolled voter can transfer affiliation from one party to another is three months before the primary election date.
