Did you know that OSHA has a local emphasis program (LEP) that could lead to a surprise inspection of your forklift equipment and operators? Make sure your employees are properly trained in the use of powered industrial trucks or forklift procedures.
Forklift accidents can cause serious injuries, property damage, and disruptions to your business. Attending this program will enable your company’s designated in-house trainer to teach and evaluate your forklift operators and educate nonoperators about working safely around powered industrial trucks.
Takeaways include an instructor’s training guide, an operator’s (student) guide and written test, a vehicle inspection checklist, sample practical driving exercises, certificates of completion, and wallet-size vehicle operator cards. Your trainer will also receive helpful tips to assist with in-house training at your company.
