Changes the definition of a covered employee from an employment period of 180 days to 30 days, makes some changes to the board makeup and rules, and explicitly states that employers are not held liable for the program’s performance. Section 7 implements noncompliance penalty fees based on the size of the employer: $500 for employers with 5-24 employees; $1,000 for employers with 25-99 employees; $1,500 for employers with 100 or greater employees.
