Wiggin and Dana LLP’s Caroline Park and Larry Peikes discussed new Connecticut laws impacting employers, including and how to comply with the state’s mandatory retirement plan program.

Garrison, Levin-Epstein, Fitzgerald & Pirrotti, PC’s Nina Pirrotti outlined the most important things an employer can do to prevent lawsuits by understanding the perspective of plaintiffs’ attorneys.

Updike Kelly & Spellacy’s Valerie Ferdon discussed background investigations in the pre-employment process, as well as Connecticut’s new restrictions on the use of cannabis testing.
