Public Utilities Regulatory Authority chair Marissa Paslick Gillett was one of the featured speakers at CBIA’s 2024 Energy & Environment conference, discussing current issues and sharing agency goals with Day Pitney’s Alex Judd.

Connecticut Department of Energy and Environmental Protection Commissioner Katie Dykes will talk with Day Pitney’s Kirstin Etela about the agency’s 20BY26 initiative goals and the impact on the state’s business community.

Dan O’Keefe, the commissioner of the Department of Economic and Community Development, shared his outlook and vision for the state’s economy.

Rep. Joe Gresko, co-chair of the legislature’s Environment Committee, and ranking member Rep. Patrick Callahan reviewed the 2024 General Assembly session with Energy and Technology Committee co-chair Sen. Norm Needleman, ranking member Sen. Ryan Fazio, and Eversource’s Jonathan Harris.

Connecticut Green Bank officials outlined opportunities for businesses to invest in renewable energy and resilience and ISO-New England representatives broke down energy grid plans for the state and region.

Other sessions addressed the implication of PFAS and what to watch for in the near future, the future of the Transfer Act, and the future of power generation in the region.

Manufacturers connected with Paul Lavoie, Connecticut’s chief manufacturing officer, over lunch.
