Diane Mokriski is human resources counsel at CBIA, the state’s leading business organization, where she assists CBIA members with their human resources and employment law questions.

Her focus is on educating Connecticut business owners and HR professionals, with the goal of ensuring compliance with state and federal law, and preventing expensive and needless litigation.

She routinely speaks on HR and employment law issues, and connects with Connecticut businesses through regular roundtable discussions, events, and live webinars.

Mokriski is one of two CBIA representatives who field calls to the HR Hotline, a free service for CBIA members that allows them to call and get answers to their human resources and employment law questions.

Before joining CBIA, Mokriski spent over 20 years in private practice as an employment litigation attorney.

She counseled Connecticut employers and defended them in court against all types of employment-related claims, such as discrimination, harassment, wage and hour complaints, and noncompete issues.

She represented clients at administrative agencies such as the Connecticut Commission on Human Rights and Opportunities, Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, and the Department of Labor, as well as state and federal lower and appellate courts. Her extensive litigation experience is, in part, what motivates her to help local employers avoid that outcome.

Mokriski holds a bachelor’s degree from Colgate University and earned her law degree from the University of Connecticut.
