The Connecticut Business & Industry Association is the voice of business in Connecticut, with thousands of member companies championing change at the State Capitol, shaping debate about economic competitiveness, and fighting for a better future for all.
Shannon King is CBIA’s public affairs manager.
She works to promote CBIA’s public policy initiatives with CBIA members and the business community at large and works to engage Connecticut businesses in the legislative process.
She also directs the Small Business Advisory Council and their efforts to help shape CBIA’s public policy agenda, promote the involvement of members in public affairs activities, and provide input for CBIA’s products and services.
Prior to joining the organization, she worked on a congressional political campaign, spent time on Capitol Hill in Washington, D.C., and interned at Connecticut’s Office of Legislative Research.
King is a graduate of Central Connecticut State University, and earned her master’s in political science from Southern Connecticut State University.
