The Connecticut Business & Industry Association is the voice of business in Connecticut, with thousands of member companies championing change at the State Capitol, shaping debate about economic competitiveness, and fighting for a better future for all.
Shannon King is a government affairs associate with CBIA, the state’s leading business organization.
She represents the business community before the state legislature and regulatory agencies on energy, education, and workforce development issues.
She also promotes CBIA’s public policy initiatives with member companies and the business community at large, and works to engage Connecticut businesses in the legislative process.
Prior to joining the organization, she worked on a congressional political campaign, spent time on Capitol Hill in Washington, D.C., and interned at the Connecticut General Assembly’s Office of Legislative Research.
King is a graduate of Central Connecticut State University, and earned her master’s in political science from Southern Connecticut State University.
