Major Focus on Issues at Business Day
Taking place at the midpoint of the 2015 session of the General Assembly, Connecticut Business Day on Wednesday, March 25, will feature a lot of dialogue between state lawmakers and state businesspeople on the issues.
Hundreds of business leaders from across the state will come to the state Legislative Office Building to urge lawmakers to adopt proposals that can help solve Connecticut’s fiscal and economic challenges.
The program will include:
- Roundtable discussion between legislative leaders and business representatives
- Top issues breakouts focusing on state taxes, transportation, and labor and employment
- Regional meetings between legislators and their constituents
Hanging in the legislative balance this year is whether Connecticut lawmakers will make the right decisions to get the state back on track. With the state’s economy strengthening, now is not the time to put the brakes on job growth.
Job creators from all across the state will participate in the Connecticut Business Day program sponsored by CBIA and the Connecticut Association of Chamber of Commerce Executives, and supported by the CT20x17 campaign.
The regional breakouts will take place from 10:15-11:15 am as follows:
- Fairfield County: Room 1A
- New Haven County: Room 1A
- Tolland County: Room 1B
- Windham County: Room 1B
- Middlesex County: Room 1E
- New London County: Room 1E
- Hartford County: Room 2D
- Litchfield County: Room 2D
It’s important for CBIA members to be part of this day, joining state policymakers and hundreds of businesspeople from around the state.
- Registration at 7:15 am
- Program 8:05-11:30 am
