MEDIA ADVISORY: Jobs, State Budget, Economic Climate Focus of 2016 Business Day

Hundreds of business leaders from across the state will converge on the Capitol on Wednesday, March 9 for Connecticut Business Day 2016.
They will share their concerns with lawmakers on a number of issues including the state’s fiscal condition, the economy, workplace mandates, and more.
Connecticut Business Day 2016 is hosted by CBIA and the Connecticut Association of Chamber of Commerce Executives (CACCE), in coordination with numerous state chambers of commerce and business and professional organizations.
The day’s program begins at 10 am at the Legislative Office Building (Room 2C). Governor Malloy is expected to make keynote remarks at 10:15 am.
The morning includes a 2016 legislative update, discussion on how to effectively engage legislators, and regional breakouts.
The program will finish with a press conference at 12:30 in room 2A.
Speakers include:

  • Joe Brennan, president and CEO, CBIA
  • JoAnn Ryan, chair, CACCE; president and CEO, Northwest Connecticut Chamber of Commerce
  • Tony Rescigno, president, Greater New Haven Chamber of Commerce
  • Michael Feldman, president, Connecticut Association of Realtors; senior sales associate at Mike Feldman & Associates
