Leading Connecticut law firm Pullman & Comley, LLC elected Lee Hoffman as chair Sept. 19.

Hoffman succeeds Tim Shearin, who served as chair since 2013.

“Lee has played an integral role at the firm for the last decade, focused on streamlining the delivery of our legal services to maximize the value for our clients,” Shearin said.

“He’s an excellent strategic thinker and understands that while our firm has a more than century of history, it’s critical to remain forward-facing, always adjusting to meet our clients’ needs.”

Pullman & Comley’s Tim Shearin

Hoffman has been with the firm since 2003.

He previously served as the co-chair of Pullman & Comley’s Real Estate, Energy, Environmental, and Land Use Department, and has held a number of other leadership roles within the firm as well.

“I am fortunate to be taking on the role at a time of robust growth for the firm, and that is due in large part to the past nine years of Tim’s visionary leadership,” Hoffman said.

“I’m energized about the direction the firm is heading and am looking forward to working with the other members of the executive committee and practice leaders to build on that success.”

Outside Involvement

Hoffman is an active member of both the legal and business community in Connecticut.

He currently serves as the chair of CBIA’s Energy & Environment Council

“Lee has been an incredibly insightful and dynamic leader as the E2 chair,” CBIA government affairs associate Ashley Zane said.

“He is consistently elevating the conversation and advocating for common sense regulatory and policy changes that have helped make the state a better place to live and do business in.”

Hoffman also serves as the vice president of the Connecticut Bar Association and was recently appointed chair of the State Committee of the American College of Trial Lawyers.
