Small Business Week Story 1: Beacon Falls Pharmacy

This week and next, CBIA will profile CBIA small business members that are making a difference in their communities in honor of Small Business Week.

Beacon Falls Pharmacy is an independent, family owned and operated business serving Beacon Falls and the surrounding communities. Beacon Falls Pharmacy is a full service pharmacy, accepting all prescription insurance plans and Medicare Part D plans as well as Husky, and Medicaid. The pharmacy offers free delivery to Beacon Falls and the surrounding communities, and also has a drive-up window and automated prescription refill phone system. Refills via the internet are also available.

Beacon Falls Pharmacy and Gift Shop founders and owners Marion and Bob Bradley are long time Beacon Falls residents, and are very active in the local civic organizations. Marion was a CVS pharmacist for well over 20 years, and Bob is a refugee of the corporate world, having spent well over 25 years in the IT industry in companies including The Travelers, GE, IBM, and Hubbell. Marion and Bob are extremely grateful for the continued support, encouragement, and patronage of their customers, and give back to the community whenever possible. There is rarely a Saturday that passes without a local sports team or school club holding a car wash, bottle and can drive, or bake sale on the premises.

Beacon Falls Pharmacy and Gift Shop has grown to be far more than just a community pharmacy over the past ten years. Opened in 2005, the pharmacy now features a broad selection of gifts, clothing, greeting cards and gourmet chocolates. Our newest line of gifts includes selections from Melissa and Doug Educational Toys, Viva Beads, Lolita Glassware, Fascia’s Chocolates, a broad line of attractive yet affordable jewelry, holiday seasonal decorations, and hand crafted furniture and paintings from a local artist.

Beacon Falls Pharmacy sits on the Board of Directors of the Greater Valley Chamber of Commerce, is an accredited member of the Better Business Bureau, and a past recipient of the Waterbury Chamber of Commerce Small Business of the Year award.
