OSH Federal Advisory Council Sets November Meeting

The Federal Advisory Council on Occupational Safety and Health will meet Nov. 17 to discuss OSHA updates and programs. 

The council advises the Secretary of Labor on matters related to the occupational safety and health of federal employees. 

That includes advice about steps to reduce the amount of injuries and illnesses in federal workplaces and how to encourage executive branch departments and agencies to establish and maintain effective safety and health programs. 

Nov. 17’s meeting will be held from 1-4 pm EDT. 

Following an update from OSHA officials, the council is set to discuss OSHA’s National Emphasis Program on Outdoor and Indoor Heat-Related Hazards and programmed inspections.
