Matching Small Businesses with SBA-Approved Lenders
Connecticut small businesses will get the chance to meet directly with SBA lenders at a Nov. 1 matchmaking event.
The SBA Connecticut district office is hosting the Connecticut Capital Matchmaking event in partnership with the Small Business Development Center to help businesses learn about available financial opportunities.
“Starting and growing a business involves planning and making key financial decisions, including gaining access to credit,” SBA Connecticut district director Catherine Marx said.
“The SBA is here to help every step of the way and providing events like this is one of the ways we can assist small businesses.”
Event Offerings
The event will have informational booths and business workshops.
Business leaders can learn about free programs to support their business operations ranging from mentorship opportunities to counseling, and specialized programs.
SBA lenders and partners are also hosting workshops throughout the event that focus on writing a strong business plan and preparing loan applications.
Businesses that register for the event by Oct. 29 can schedule one-on-one meetings with loan officers.
The event is being held at the Southern Connecticut State University School of Business Nov. 1 from 8:30 am to 12:30 pm.
