Survey identifies most annoying break room behaviors

Looking to make friends at work? Don’t leave a trail of breadcrumbs in the kitchen, a new OfficeTeam survey suggests. Forty-four percent of workers interviewed said making a mess for others to clean up is the most annoying break room behavior. Stealing a coworker’s food came in second, with 19% of the response, followed by leaving expired or spoiled items in the refrigerator (18%). Eating smelly food was cited by 5% of respondents.

The survey was conducted by an independent research firm and is based on telephone interviews with 432 workers 18 years of age or older and employed in an office environment.
