MEDIA ADVISORY: Governor, Agency Heads Address Employers for Connecticut Business Day

Hundreds of business leaders from across the state will converge on the state Capitol Wednesday, March 4 for Connecticut Business Day.

They will hear from Gov. Ned Lamont and a number of state agency leaders, including the Department of Revenue Services’ John Biello, Katie Dykes from the Department of Energy and Environmental Protection, Josh Geballe from the Department of Administrative Services, and the Department of Economic and Community Development’s Glendowlyn Thames.

Business leaders will share concerns with administration officials and lawmakers on a number of issues including the state’s fiscal condition, workforce development, workplace mandates, healthcare, and more.

Connecticut Business Day is hosted by CBIA and the Connecticut Association of Chamber of Commerce Executives, in coordination with numerous state chambers of commerce and business and professional organizations.

The day’s program begins at 9 am at the Legislative Office Building (Room 2C). Governor Lamont is expected to address the crowd at 10 am.

Attendees will also get an opportunity to speak with legislators in regional breakout sessions.
