There are dozens of resources available for small and medium-sized manufacturers in Connecticut to learn about new technology and connect with area university researchers.

CONNSTEP, Connecticut’s official MEP National Network representative, has partnered with the University of Connecticut to introduce manufacturers to available resources.

CONNSTEP staff and UConn faculty members will be at UConn’s Tech Park Dec. 15 from 1-3 pm to share information with small and medium-sized manufacturers.

The Storrs campus venue alone is made up of 113,700 square feet of facilities where academic researchers are hard at work.

The Connecticut Manufacturing Simulation Center, University’s Proof of Concept, UTC Institute for Advanced Systems Engineering, Pratt & Whitney Additive Manufacturing Center, and the Reverse Engineering, Fabrication, Inspection, and Non-Destructive Analysis are all facilities available to manufacturers in various forms.

Staff will help business leaders identify opportunities for technical collaborations to fast track how companies can utilize new technology.

Contact CONNSTEP’s Matt Howe to register for the event, which takes place in Room 317 at the Innovation Partnership Building (159 Discover Drive, Storrs).
