The U.S. Department of Labor’s Occupational Safety and Health Administration’s Advisory Committee on Construction Safety and Health will meet Thursday, Feb. 22, in Washington, D.C.

The committee provides advice and assistance on construction standards and policy matters to OSHA assistant secretary Doug Parker.

It was established through the Construction Safety Act.

The February meeting will include remarks from Parker.

It will also feature updates on the construction industry from OSHA’s Directorate of Construction and a discussion about women in construction.

Last year, OSHA proposed revising its PPE standard in construction to explicitly require that the equipment must fit properly.

Three workgroups—Emerging Technology, Workzones, and Health in Construction—will also meet and deliver reports.

The full committee and workgroup meetings are open to the public, who are invited to comment on the workgroup reports.

Details on how to attend online are included in the docket and are available on the ACCSH website.
