December 2014 saw 1.089 million starts in the U.S., up 4.4% from the prior month and 5.3% year over year. Best of all, Northeast region starts are up 51% from end of 2013. Housing brings all sorts of benefits to numerous industries as well as being a driver of tax revenue.
