HEDCO is offering two OSHA Construction Training classes for entry-level construction workers in the coming months.

The nonprofit organization offers low-cost classes for companies looking to train employees about recognizing and preventing construction site hazards.

Each attendee costs $20. The class spans over two days.

The first one will be offered on Monday, Nov. 7 and Tuesday, Nov. 8 from 4:30 pm to 10 pm at HEDCO’s office on Main Street in Hartford.

The second course will be held Monday, Dec. 5 and Tuesday, Dec. 6.

“HEDCO’s OSHA classes allowed me to get training at night and I started getting more contracts,” YJ Cleaning and Maintenance owner Willie Jones said.

“I am able to do bigger jobs with the help of HEDCO and appreciate all their support.”

Participants can register for the courses online

HEDCO leaders said they plan to offer additional classes in 2023.
