A new national report on states’ manufacturing climates correctly ranks Connecticut high for our strengths—including quality of workforce, product diversification and global reach–but also predictably low for taxes and infrastructure.
The 2011 Manufacturing and Logistics National Report from Ball State University’s Center for Business and Economic Research grades the all 50 states in several areas of the economy that provide the foundation for success of manufacturing and logistics.
Overall, Connecticut earned a C+ grade. Ohio, Michigan, Indiana, Iowa and Kansas all received ‘A’ grades.
