OSHA is reminding about an important workplace safety recordkeeping rule.

Certain employers are required to post their 2023 OSHA Form 300A by Feb. 1.

The form is a summary of job-related injuries and illnesses experienced by the company in the previous calendar year.

Company Requirements

Companies with 11 or more employees at any point in 2023 are required to post the form unless they are categorized as a low-risk industry.

Employers must post the form in an area visible to employees at each of a company’s establishments between Feb. 1 through April 30.

Other requirements include:

  • A company executive must certify the accuracy and totality of the form
  • A company executive must examine and certify Form 300, from which the information for the 300A is derived
  • Information about the average number of employees and total hours worked during the calendar year

A company executive is defined as the owner, an officer of the corporation, the highest ranking executive, or the immediate supervisor of the highest ranking company official working at the establishment.
